Introduction for Using Acceptable documents for Identity Verification

For identity verification to open a real account and make a deposit, individual customers, as well as corporate representatives or trading officers, are required to submit the following three documents.

  • Photo ID
  • ID Selfie*1
  • Proof of Current Address

This article outlines the required documents and necessary details for verification. Please review and submit the appropriate documents.

For corporate customers, please refer to the following section regarding the required corporate verification documents.

*1An ID selfie is a self-taken photo holding your photo ID, with both your face and the ID clearly visible in the same frame.  If you choose eKYC method (Real-Time Identity Verification), submitting an ID selfie will not be necessary.

Required Verification Documents

Please submit the required documents according to the method you selected.
The following three documents are required if you choose to submit via upload, support chat, or email attachment.

If you choose the eKYC method using a smartphone, you will need to take photos of the three documents in the order shown below.

You have the flexibility to submit the required documents through one of four available methods. After considering the features of each option, please select the method that best suits your needs.
Here are the acceptable documents for verification and important guidelines for photo submission.

Please note that we cannot accept certain documents as valid photo IDs. These include student cards, employee cards, disability certificates, and international driver's licenses.

When submitting documents, please ensure that all the contents are clearly legible. Additionally, make sure your Photo ID meets the following requirements.
  • The photo on the ID must be clear and legible.
  • The ID must be within its valid expiration date.
  • The issuing authority's official seal must be visible.
  • Your name and DOB must be aligned with the registered information with FXON

ID Selfie

An ID selfie is required if you choose the upload, support chat or email attachment for identity verification.
The ID selfie will be accepted if it meets the requirements listed below.

  • You must remove accessories like a facial mask. (Eyeglasses are acceptable)
  • All parts of your face must be clearly visible.
  • All contents on the documents must be visible and not covered by your fingers.
  • The selfie must clearly show the customer's shoulder, elbow, and wrist holding the document.
  • No third parties should appear in the selfie.

The eKYC methods (Real Time Identity Verification) will be completed by taking photos as instructed on your smartphone screen.

Please provide one of the following documents as proof of the current address.

Unacceptable Documents

While a passport is accepted as a photo ID, it is not accepted as proof of current address.

Please ensure that the document was issued within the last 6 months and the address matches the registered information with FXON.
