At FXON, leverage is limited for the following products based on the trading conditions, regardless of the leverage setting in your account.

  • Exotic forex pairs (Maximum leverage x50)
  • Metal CFD (Maximum leverage x500)
  • Cryptocurrency CFD (Leverage x10)
  • Index CFD (Leverage x50)
  • Stock CFD (Leverage x10)
  • Energy CFD (Leverage x50)

You can check the status of leverage restrictions through the following methods.

How to check on the FXON website

On the FXON website, the maximum leverage for Forex pairs and CFD products is listed on the trading conditions page. To check the leverage for Forex pairs, please refer to the "Forex Pair Trading Conditions" page and look for the "Max. leverage".
For CFD products, please refer to the "CFD Trading Conditions" page and check the "Max. leverage". Additionally, you can switch between pages for "Crypto CFD," "Energy CFD," "Index CFD," "Stock CFD," and "Metals CFD" using the tabs at the top of the page.

Notice

At FXON, leverage may be restricted to different levels than those listed on the above pages for Forex pairs and CFD products if liquidity is difficult to secure or if they are deemed high-risk in the interbank market. In the event that leverage restrictions are applied, we will notify you via FXON's "News." However, please also check the trading specifications on MT4/MT5 for confirmation.

How to check on MT4/MT5

After logging into MT4/MT5, right-click on the symbol you want to check, then select "Specification" to view the "Margin percentage" (on MT5, it will be listed as "Margin rates: notional value").
Forex pairs and metals CFD: If the margin percentage is "100.0%" (on MT5, it will appear as "1.00"), you can trade the symbol with the maximum leverage.
For forex pairs and Metals CFD using the margin calculation mode, the maximum leverage set for the symbol is calculated as 100%. Therefore, for major and minor forex pairs, a margin percentage of "100.0%" corresponds to x1000 leverage, for exotic forex pairs, "100.0%" corresponds to x50 leverage, and for metals CFD, "100.0%" corresponds to x500 leverage. (If the margin percentage for these symbols is below "100.0%", it means that leverage restrictions have been applied.)
Cryptocurrency CFD, Index CFD, Stock CFD, and Energy CFD: You can convert the margin percentage into the maximum leverage available using the calculation formula provided below.

Converting from percentage display to available leverage
1 / Margin percentage = Maximum leverage
Example

1 / 10% (0.10) = x10

Example

1 / 2% (0.02) = x50

Converting available leverage to percentage display
1 / Maximum leverage × 100 = Margin percentage
Example

1 / 10 (x) × 100 = 10% (0.10)

Example

1 / 50 (x) × 100 = 2% (0.02)

Please refer to the following article for the conversion of margin percentage to leverage.
