When logging into MetaTrader 4 ( MT4 ) or MetaTrader 5 ( MT5 ), you may see the message "Waiting for update" on the chart, and the chart may not display correctly. The following are possible causes of this error.
Unable to log in correctly
If there is an issue with your login credentials, internet connection, or account status, you may see the message "Waiting for update" and be unable to log in correctly. Please try logging in again and verify if the login is successful.

The market is closed, or the server is under maintenance
If the market is closed or the server is under maintenance, the chart may not load or update properly. You can check the trading schedule and important updates in the News section.
If there are no issues with your login or connection but the chart still does not display, please refer to the steps below for troubleshooting.
